The CaFAN Secretariat, ECTAD has signed a second contract with the Coady International Institute, St. Fancis Xavier University in Canada to host two new Canadian Interns as part of Coady's Youth in Partnership Programme.  In 2008, ECTAD signed its first contract with Coady and hosted two Canadian Interns for the period July 2008 to January 2009.

The new Interns are scheduled to arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on March 28th, 2010 and will depart in September 2010.  One of the Interns will be assigned to work directly with CaFAN related activities, while the other Intern will work with ECTAD directly.

The Youth In Partnership Program is designed to give Canadian university graduates experience working with development organizations in their area of expertise, to help them increase their understanding of development issues and participate in their roles as global citizens. The program is also aimed at providing experience that will improve participants' employment opportunities when they return from their internship.  For more information, please visit http://www.coady.stfx.ca
